Breathe Sista Breathe. Mindfulness and Meditation

As we honor the final days of Women's History Month, I find myself reflecting on something simple… yet deeply transformative: the power of breath, stillness, and self-care.
This past Saturday in Framingham, MA (Boston area), I had the honor of leading a meditation and breath work session at the Femme Flora event. What stood out most wasn’t just the practice itself it was the release in the room.
The pause.
The permission.
Women showed up for themselves.
And afterward, so many shared the same sentiment:
“I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”
“I forgot what it feels like to just be.”
The Space to Just Be

Set on a beautiful, serene farm, the venue itself became part of the experience open, grounding, and deeply intentional. Attendees were given the freedom to explore, connect, and, for many, mindfully engage with the cannabis plant in a way that felt safe, elevated, and communal.
The space was thoughtfully designed with activation stations that invited exploration, creative expression, emotional release, and quiet reflection.
Whether you were journaling, connecting in conversation, or simply sitting with your breath under the open sky, there was a sense of ease and permission woven into every corner a reminder that healing and inspiration often begin when we allow ourselves the space to just be.
Breathe Sista, Breathe
This is both figurative and literal.
Breathe life into your dreams.
Breathe energy into your business.
Breathe intention into your purpose.
But also…
Pause. Reset. Recharge.
As often as needed.
Because you cannot pour into the world if you are running on empty.
The Practice is the Power-Mindfulness and Meditation
I always say daily meditation and mantras are the foundation of balance and stress relief.
Not perfection.
Not performance.
Practice.
The more you return to yourself, the easier it becomes to stay grounded in a world that constantly pulls at you. Repetition builds rhythm. Rhythm brings peace.
Why I Begin and End with “Om Shanti”

At the start and close of every session, I bring my hands to prayer at heart center.
I pause. I breathe. And I say: Om Shanti. This is not just a ritual it’s my daily anchor.
“Om” is known as the universal sound. It represents the vibration of life itself the frequency that connects all living things. Before language, before thought, there was vibration.
Om is that origin.
It centers you. Grounds you. Aligns you.
“Shanti” means peace.
So when we say Om Shanti, we are not just speaking we are calling in peace.
Peace in the body.
Peace in the mind.
Peace in the spirit.
And when you feel it… you know.
Call + Response: The Energy We Share
I closed our session with seven mantras each one spoken together, each one felt deeply. Because there is power in speaking life over yourself. And even more power when we do it together.

To Every Woman
Reading This
We are strong.
We are powerful.
We are divine by design.
Our femininity is not a weakness it is our superpower. We are creators. We are nurturers. We are visionaries.
We give life to people, to ideas, to movements. And that can never ever be denied.
So I Leave You With This…
When life feels heavy…
When your mind feels crowded…
When your spirit feels tired…
Breathe, Sista. Breathe.
Come back to yourself. Again and again and just breathe, you got this.
Om Shanti.

And a special congratulations to Satin Faulkner and the entire Femme Flora team for your vision and your ability to execute something so special, so unique, and so deeply needed this was more than an event, it was an experience.
