What Inspired You To Get Into The Cannabis Industry?

What inspired me to enter the cannabis industry was the glaring lack of representation for minorities on various fronts: from business and economic opportunities to health equity perspectives. It became evident that there was a significant disparity in access, participation, and understanding within minority communities when it came to cannabis.

Establishing my non-profit organization, Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), was the pivotal step that allowed me to actively engage and support my community in a genuine and impactful manner. Through our efforts, we've been able to address systemic issues, provide education, and advocate for fair and equitable access to cannabis-related opportunities, including medical treatment and business ventures.

Being at the forefront of this movement has not only been fulfilling but also eye-opening. It's highlighted the urgent need for representation and empowerment within minority communities in the cannabis space. Witnessing the positive impact of our work has been incredibly rewarding, reaffirming my commitment to creating meaningful change.

Moreover, through this journey, I've recognized the opportunity to create my own cannabis wellness brand. My vision is to cater to the specific needs and desires of women who seek to explore and understand the plant in a holistic manner. By offering education, empowerment, and curated experiences, I aim to empower women to embrace cannabis as a tool for wellness and self-discovery.

Ultimately, my journey in the cannabis industry is driven by a deep-seated commitment to fostering inclusion, equity, and empowerment within minority communities while providing avenues for holistic wellness exploration and education. It's about creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, and where the potential of cannabis can be realized by all.

How Has Your Work Evolved Beyond Cannabis?

My journey in cannabis opened the door to a much broader understanding of how healthcare, technology, public policy, entrepreneurship, and social justice intersect. Over the years, I recognized that many of the challenges facing the cannabis industry limited access to information, unequal opportunities, lack of representation, and difficulty determining whom to trust—also exist across many other industries and communities.

Today, my work extends beyond cannabis into health equity, artificial intelligence, emerging technology, business development, and human trust. Whether I am leading Minorities for Medical Marijuana, growing Black Buddha Cannabis™, supporting sickle cell advocacy through Pharmasickle, serving on nonprofit and industry boards, or building MeetKith™, my goal remains the same: to create solutions that help people make informed decisions, access meaningful opportunities, and participate in the systems shaping their lives.

this journey, I've recognized the opportunity to create my own cannabis wellness brand.

What Are You Building for The Future?

I am building organizations, platforms, and initiatives designed to prepare people and communities for what comes next. One of my most important areas of focus is MeetKith™, a technology platform pioneering Human Trust Decision Intelligence™. MeetKith™ is being developed to help people and organizations evaluate trust evidence before engaging with someone they do not yet know or fully trust—especially in a digital world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, impersonation, scams, and fake identities.

I am also continuing to advance health equity, responsible innovation, entrepreneurship, and community-centered policy through my leadership roles and business ventures. I believe technology should strengthen human decision-making, not replace it. That belief guides everything I am building: evidence informs, people decide.
