What Inspired You To Get Into The Cannabis Industry?
What inspired me to enter the cannabis industry was the glaring lack of representation for minorities on various fronts: from business and economic opportunities to health equity perspectives. It became evident that there was a significant disparity in access, participation, and understanding within minority communities when it came to cannabis.
Establishing my non-profit organization, Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), was the pivotal step that allowed me to actively engage and support my community in a genuine and impactful manner. Through our efforts, we've been able to address systemic issues, provide education, and advocate for fair and equitable access to cannabis-related opportunities, including medical treatment and business ventures.
Being at the forefront of this movement has not only been fulfilling but also eye-opening. It's highlighted the urgent need for representation and empowerment within minority communities in the cannabis space. Witnessing the positive impact of our work has been incredibly rewarding, reaffirming my commitment to creating meaningful change.
Moreover, through this journey, I've recognized the opportunity to create my own cannabis wellness brand. My vision is to cater to the specific needs and desires of women who seek to explore and understand the plant in a holistic manner. By offering education, empowerment, and curated experiences, I aim to empower women to embrace cannabis as a tool for wellness and self-discovery.
Ultimately, my journey in the cannabis industry is driven by a deep-seated commitment to fostering inclusion, equity, and empowerment within minority communities while providing avenues for holistic wellness exploration and education. It's about creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, and where the potential of cannabis can be realized by all.
